British GT Championships Knockhill May 2010

Well as promised, here is a quick selection of some of the images captured from the recent round of the British GT Championships held at the Knockhill Race Circuit in Fife, Scotland over the weekend of 8/9th May 2010.

1st image is #5 Craig Wilkins (Driver R1) and Aaron Scott (Driver R2), Team GT3 Racing, with the Viper Competition Coupe.

2nd image is Overall Winners #1 David Jones (Driver R1) and Godfrey Jones (Driver R2), Team Preci Spark, with the Ascari KZ1R GT3.

3rd image is  #2 Duncan Cameron (Driver R1) and Matt Griffin (Driver R2), Team Mtech, with the Ferrari 430 Scuderia GT3.

4th image is  #73 Andrew Smith in the Classic Sports & Saloon Class, with the 3900cc Morgan +8.

5th image is  #1 Ross Marshall in the Scottish Legends Class, with the 1250cc Legend.

These cars are based on 5/8th scale racers from pre-war Fords, Chevy’s and Dodge body styles and all use the Yamaha 1250cc engine for power.

6th image is  #14 Allan Waugh in the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup, in association with STV Jobs.

These cars are for the new style Mini Coopers racing in basically standard trim using Yokohama tyres.

British GT Championships – Knockhill

What a great spectacle of racing over the weekend of 8th / 9th May at the Knockhill Circuit in Fife.

All images captured have now been downloaded from cameras and are currently being processed for upload to website Galleries, hope to have them available for viewing within next few days. These will include images of the current British GT’s, Scottish Legends, Scottish Mini Cooper Cup, Scottish Classics, Sports & Saloons, Formula Fords and Global lights…..so stay tuned here for updates of when galleries are available.

British GT Championships

We plan to travel back down to the Knockhill Race Circuit in Fife for the latest Round of the British GT Championships.

On track over the weekend of 7th, 8th & 9th May 2010 will be the large supercars consisting of hugely powered Aston Martins, Porches, Lamborghinis etc, with the racing card also including XR2′s, Formula Fords and Legends.

We are looking forward to seeing and photographing these supercars on track and in race mode, lets hope the weather is favourable for the weekend.
